Chinese evergreen magnolia - Chinese evergreen magnolia, Magnolia delavayi, as its name suggests, is native to the Southern half of China. A small tree 8-10m in height with pale yelowish-white bark, it is often grown for its large (up to 30cm) oblong-ovate evergreen foliage rather than for its thick, fragrant, cream-colored flowers which appear on the plant from July to August.
